Bandwidth

Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be transfered from your website (server) over the network to the world (Client). It is usually expressed in bits per second (bps) or in higher units like Mbps (millions of bits per second). The more hits (visitors) your website get the higher the bandwidth used will be. Amongst this usage will be images aswell as html files, as everytime someone visits your site for the first time, the content of your pages will be accessed and downloaded, so remember optomise your images for size, so your page loads quicker and us less bandwidth.
