Custom php.ini files (3)
You may want to use a custom php.ini file in order to change some of the host default settings. The php.ini only affects the current folder it is residing in. If you have a folder named test in your public_html, and a php.ini file only in public_html, it won't affect the files under the test folder. You must have a separate php.ini file in each folder you want to be affected.
