How do I request transfer assistance for my cPanel accounts?
Submit an email to sales@studyhost.co.uk with the ip address, domain name, cpanel username, and password for each account you would like for us to transfer. Once the transfers are completed you will need to login to your account and make sure everything is ok before updating DNS. We don't do any script reconfigurations or DNS zone edits, if this is required there might be additional costs.
How do I order a dedicated IP?
You can order an IP by emailing sales@studyhost.co.uk The cost for an IP is £3 a month.
Are there any fees to upgrade/downgrade?
There are no fees to upgrade/downgrade your account. If you are upgrading to a higher cost plan your account will be prorated based on your billing cycle. Likewise, If you are downgrading to a lower cost plan your account will be prorated with a credit.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by Paypal or Cheque. Paypal enables us to accept debit and credit cards by website hassle-free and safe. For instant account activation, we recommend Paypal.
Do I get root access to the server?
You do not get root access to the server.
Are there any types of advertising placed on my account?
We do not place any type of advertising such as banners, popup's, etc. on your website.
Where are your servers located?
Our servers are located in the UK in the Bluesquare datacenter.
Do I get email with my hosting package?
All our hosting accounts come with email addresses/mailboxes. We provide an outgoing mail (SMTP) server and incoming (POP3) mail. In order to create new email addresses/mailboxes you must log in to your hosting control panel (cPanel).
Do you do back-ups?
Back-ups are daily and monthly and are on seperate servers that are used for back-up only. It is recommended that you also do your own back-ups. Please see our Terms and Conditions.
What Firewalls have you got set up?
We use APF firewall. What is APF? APF is a policy based iptables firewall system designed for ease of use and configuration. It employs a subset of features to satisfy the veteran Linux user and the novice alike. Packaged in tar.gz format and RPM formats, make APF ideal for deployment in many server environments based on Linux. APF is developed and maintained by R-fx Networks. We also use ClamV, Mod_security and Our own firewall setup for preventing ddos.
